Guy was born in 1867.[1] He was the son of George Pownall and Louisa Steinmetz.
His mother died in 1870.

His father remarried in 1827.
UK Census Event Date 1881: Recorded as a Boarder in St Germans' Place, Kidbrooke, London, Kent, England. Aged 13 and a scholar. Also with him was his younger brother Graham.
He married Adeline Eva Banister in 1899. They had at least five children (two of whom died young).
Frank and his family emigrated from England to Canada.
Canada Census Event Date 1911: Living with his wife Adeline, two daughters Nora and Adeline and one home help in Nanaimo Sub-Districts 1-28, British Columbia, Canada. Aged 43.
His daughter Adeline died in 1919 at the age of 13.
He died in 1939 at the age of 72.[2]
