Disputed Origins

No sources have been found to support that Jane Powyes was a daughter of William Powyes and Elizabeth Sims, and they have been detached from her profile.

Biography

Jane Powyes, whose parentage is unknown, was born between 1592 and 1602 at Glastonbury, Somerset, England.[1] Jane married Thomas Holbrook on 12 SEP 1616 at St. John the Baptist, Glastonbury Co. Somerset, England.[2][3]

Jane came to New England with her husband Thomas Holbrook as part of Reverend Joseph Hull's Company, arriving at Boston, Massachusetts Bay Colony on the sixth of May, 1635.

Thomas and Jane had six children, all born at Glastonbury.

Jane died 24 April, 1677 at Weymouth.[4][5]

Weymouth was part of the Suffolk County in Massachusetts until 1793 when it became part of Norfolk County--Per Wikipedia.org

What source is her LNAB based on? Is it reflected in the marriage record?

Yes, her name is shown in the parish register as well as in the Davis source

A few minor notes - on Davis, he misspells her name as "Powys," which is very often repeated. He may have gotten this from a previous publication, so he may not be the origin of it. Also, the marriage parish is often called "St. John's," but it's actually St. John the Baptist. I changed that here and at Thomas's page.
