John Woodall married Elizabeth Pointer on 25 March 1858 at Elizabeth Pointer's house in Pulaski County, Kentucky. James Woodall performed the marriage and James Chaney and William Pointer were witnesses.[2] Elizabeth's mother, Lisabeth Pointer had given consent for the marriage on 22 March 1858. William T. Pointer was a witness to the consent. [3]
She received a widows pension for her husband's service in the Union Army during the Civil War. [4]
