I am the great-granddaughter of Ruth Shumate. Any information I have is from family conversation. I am estimating birth and death dates based on Alma Tibbett's birth date. The family moved from Kentucky, because the oldest son, Willie, wanted to grow rice in Arkansas County, AR.
