Please feel free to add the Crawford Name Study Y-DNA category "Category:Crawford_Y-STR_Group_R1a" to your profile and any private or unlisted profiles in the Y-DNA chain. We are attempting to add these Y-DNA categories to all Crawford surnames, to help us understand how they relate to each other here on wikitree, using the same categories as the Crawford study on FamilyTreeDNA (through the Clan Crawford Association), see https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Crawford_DNA_Y-STR_Group_R1a for more information.
I will also add this category as I am able to your Y-DNA ancestors up to at least Alexander (Crawford-1328), but will research a little further before moving farther up to Col William and beyond, as it seems tenuous. Perhaps we can find other Y-DNA descendants from other branches to help us confirm or deny before adding the correct category.
The confirmation for WikiTree Guest access comes to you as an email, so you need to check your inbox and spam folder. If you cannot find the email, a new confirmation email can be generated at E-mail confirmation problems. This is all a process for the WikiTree server to become acquainted with your email server and vice versa so the computers can route the emails properly, so this process is primarily done by the machines with a little help from you. Please let me know if you have any questions about this or anything about WikiTree. :-)

"Natalie, one of the gedcom you changed seems to have an error in it
Alexander was 2 years old when he fathered an Alexander down the line from Alex 1715. That picked up me as being in a line which is in error. We really should be very careful when entering data of others. Prather-1299"
I have been working to on one user's watchlist to improve the profiles, since many are unsourced. On some I have added categories,on other's I've corrected GEDCOMS and/or added sources and I've worked on quite a few. If you could give me the WikiID of the profile you're talking about, I could look at it. If I made a mistake, thanks for letting me know, and I'd be happy to correct it.
Thanks,
Natalie
I see that you just did the Pre-1700 Self-Certification. That's great! Also noticed you made 210 contributions to Wikitree, thank you! Here at WikiTree we like to have our members involved with others; collaboration is key!
Is there a particular time period, location, or topic you're interested in? Maybe you have some historically-significant ancestors? Here is a list of our WikiTree projects you might like to check out: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Projects
Why don't you also stop by the One Name Studies project, to see if there's already a name study for (surname) going on? The current leaders for that are Doug Lockwood and Alison Andrus. They would be happy to get you started.
This week we have your last stop on the guided tour. Hopefully, you're feeling like a WikiTree pro! If not, you can always revisit the tour stops via the comment boxes on the right side of your profile.
You've covered a lot of ground the past few weeks. Today, we want to give you just a few more tools that can take you even deeper into the WikiTree forest without getting lost: How to Dig a Little Deeper.
You may have been hard at work getting connected to family members who are already here and adding those who were missing. You probably have at least a few profiles that you manage now.
There's a fast and easy way to access those profiles using the Watchlist. So, this week we're going to look at How to Manage Your Watchlist.
Please let one of us know if you have questions! Just click my name above the comment, then ask in the comment section of my page. We want to help!
Thanks, WikiMessenger Cindy
PS Good work so far! Have you noticed on your ancestor profiles on the bottom right is "Research" where you can get sources and more information? Give it a try sometime!
You have been here for a while now! We hope your profiles are starting to come together and that you've enjoyed getting to know all of us a little better.
You're probably getting a good feel for the collaborative nature of WikiTree by now. We know that collaboration isn't always easy. So, we've put together a few pointers that can make working in this type of environment a little easier: How to be a Successful WikiTreer.

the only change I made to the non existing William Cochran and his wife Sarah was a link to a 1910 census from https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:ML7P-43P which list them and 4 children.
