Biography
Jane (Prather) Mulliken has Scottish Ancestors.
Jane Prather was born in 1662 in Prather Hall, Calvert, Province of Maryland, daughter of Jonathan Prather (~1630–<1680) and Jane Mackall (~1645–<1713).
Jane (17) married James Mulliken (17) (born about 1662 in Prince George's, Province of Maryland; son of James Mulliken I and Mary (Waylett) Williams) in 1680 in Prince George's County, Maryland. Their children were:
http://prathergenealogy.com/defaultmain.htm - "James Mullikin {I1167}" This site says she was born 1664 and married 1685 but the accepted birth dates of 2 oldest sons indicate a marriage in 1680, making a 1662 birthdate plausible.
Jane's mother's Will (= "Jane Smith" at her death) was written on July 27, 1710 and names Jane Mullikin's daughter Mary instead of Jane as a beneficiary. This meant that Mary's mother was already deceased. Some researchers had used the "Will proven" date of Dec. 7, 1713, instead of the earlier July 1710 date. DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Jane by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Jane:
I changed the parental relationships to "confident" because the necessary DNA source citation statements with the DNA test matching details are missing.
Please change the “Confirmed with DNA” relationship with parents to “Confident”. downs-977 & yates-4563 are 15th cousins twice removed. WikiTree requires “Confirmed with DNA” back that many generations to use a triangulated group (at least 3 distant cousins) all matching each other on an autosomal segment of at least 7 cM. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Triangulation
Mullikin-74 and Prather-2 appear to represent the same person because: Jane(Mullikin)was born in 1664 and died 1713 as in Prather-2 The Mullikin-74 lists her as born 1693. However, Jonathan, her father died 1680, that is 13 years before she was born. Other than birth dates, this is a match.
I strongly recommend using the DNA Confirmation Citation Maker app, for creating and/or validating DNA source citations.
