Deborah Pratt was born 22 Dec 1760 at Oxford, Massachusetts, to Abraham and Mary Barton Pratt.[1]
Deborah marries Elihu Ward at Belchertown, Massachusetts in 1778.[2][3]
The entry in the family register included in the Kenneth Pratt book states Deborah married Elihu Ward an, simply, had a large family.[4] I think the family must have lost touch with Deborah early on. She was the eldest child of Abraham and was probably already out of the house before the younger children were grown.
Elihu can be found in the 1790 Federal Census for the town of Hebron.[5] His household has eight people living in it, which must have been quite the crowded cabin.
Elihu and Deborah can be found on the 1800 Federal Census for Otego, New York.[6] Elihu's household has ten people living in it, including three males in the 16 to 26 age bracket. I'm having trouble placing the known children of this couple into this household. Perhaps they were just guessing at their children's ages.
E. Ward can be found in Otego, New York for the 1810 Federal Census.[7] The family has drastically changed as now there are only six individuals living in the household.
The 1820 Federal Census finds Elihu Ward still living in Otego, New York.[8]
1830 finds the elderly Elihu and Deborah still living in Otego, New York with their son, Abraham Ward enumerated in the next household over.[9]
The last Federal Census record to enumerate Elihu and Deborah is the 1840 census. The couple are living in the village of Oneonta, New York.[10] This time, their son Obadiah Ward is living next door.
Deborah dies 18 May 1845 in Otsego County, New York.[11]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Deborah by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Deborah:
Pratt-4461 has the incorrect parents attributed to Deborah Pratt Ward. She is the eldest child of Abraham and Mary Barton Pratt. As stated below, she is identified as a daughter in Abraham Pratt's will in Washington County, New York.
Pratt-4461 and Pratt-2850 appear to represent the same person because: Tom Pratt gave source (will of Abraham) and reasoning behind correct parents. These profiles are duplicates.
Pratt-4461 and Pratt-2850 appear to represent the same person because: I feel the correct set of parents for Deborah Pratt should be Abraham and Mary Barton Pratt. Deborah is identified in her father's will of 1802 as Deborah Ward. The marriage to Elihu Ward in Belchertown also makes sense as there was a spur of the old Albany Post Road that ran from CT to Albany which ran right through the county. It would be likely that the family of Abraham Pratt and that of Elihu Ward met on their journey to NY at that point. I'm also including a link to Crista Cowen's Ancestry tree (she is the chief genealogist for Ancestry.com) which has this family, too. https://www.ancestry.com/family-tree/person/tree/81243453/person/36440652982/facts
