Biography

Family records indicate that Griffin Pratt was the son of William Pratt, Memorial Number 91824198. Griffin was christened at St Mary's, Aylesbury Parish, Buckingham, England on July 19, 1635. At the age of 30, in March 1666, Griffin (or Griffith) and a William Pratt, were listed among a group of people transported from England to the shores of Virginia. They settled in and around Williamsburg, Virginia. In 1669, Griffin is listed as a member of a jury and also as a plaintiff and defendant in various court actions. B.
