Biography

Lucinda Pratt was born abut 1800 in Massachusetts. This does not appear to be the Lucinda Pratt born in Framingham, Massachusetts to Jonathan or James Pratt b. 8 May 1769 and Sally Patterson b. 12 Apr 1775.^[1][2] [This is likely the wrong birthplace for this Lucinda Pratt. Note that the Pratt family for her may have lived in Deerfield, Franklin County, Massachusetts - as that is where Hiram and Lucinda were married. Perhaps she was born there also? There was an Abigail Pratt born in Deerfield in 1804, the daughter of daughter of Revolutionary War Patriot Jesse Pratt and Mary Rhodes or Foxboro Pratt, but cannot find any relation for our Lucinda.]

She married Hiram Carpenter on 27 Jan 1815 in Deerfield, Franklin County, Massachusetts.^[3] In 1850 they lived in Orleans, Jefferson County, New York. Their children were:

A Lucinda "Lucy" Carpenter died at age 62 on 25 May 1860 and was buried in Bidwell Cemetery in Parish, Oswego County, New York.^[4]
