Children: Pricilla (1668), Thomas (1669), John (1671), Elizabeth (1673), Thomas (1675), Isaac (1677), Mary (1677), Sarah (1677), Martha (1679), Sarah (1680), Daniel (1681), Lydia (1682), Jonathan (1682), Mehitable (1685), Mary (1688).

Several sources list Elizabeth Pratt being the daughter of John Pratt and Sarah Jones, married on February 20 1664 or June 8 1669. Some sources also list Mary Andrews as John Pratt's wife, married August 10 1676. Sarah's death date is listed in one source as 1726. It's possible Sarah died and John married Mary afterwards; it's more likely, given the number of children listed, that there were 2 John Pratts - one marrying Sarah and the other marrying Mary.

Are there sources for John Pratt (tailor)'s parents and true birth date? I had understood from the Pratt book that his parentage is unknown. Savage doesn't give parental information either. Nor does Torrey give any birth info for John Pratt (tailor).

Per Savage, there are definitely two John Pratts: http://www.usgennet.org/usa/topic/newengland/savage/bk3/pratt-pressie.htm reference Savage, Volume 3. The children Mary, Martha, and Daniel + Jonathan, Hannah and John are attributed to John Pratt (tailor)

This was a difficult one, because both Johns have a father "William". You have my permission to split them apart, or, I will do it in a week or so.

It appears to me from the Saybrook Vitals that Elizabeth was born to the John Pratt (Ensign) that was married to Sarah Jones. the listing for her birth says it was Pratt (Ensign) vs. Pratt (Taylor). Perhaps we almost have enough information to split the two John Pratt's and their families apart.
