Biography

This John Prentice was born 13 May 1733 @ Stonington, Connecticut. He was the fourth child of Samuel Prentice and Abigail Billings.

He married:

1) 1 Dec 1757 Mary Haskell; they had 4 children; Mary died 8 Jul 1784, after which he married

2) in 1789 Rebecca Haskell; they had 4 children.

John Prentice passed away 21 Jun 1810.

Definitely some issues with the spousal relationships described in this profile. The birth dates for both wives as currently listed are their death dates. Also, several of the children's birth dates are garbled, as evidenced by the Wheeler (1900) History of Stonington, p. 545.
