Biography

Joseph, s. Manassah & Asenath, was born Apr. 2, 1781, in Preston, Connecticut[1]

Resided in Plainfield, CT. Was an Episcopal clergyman of Catskill, NY. Died because of an overturned stagecoach. He spelled his name in letters to his family Prentice until 1809, when he started using Prentiss.[2]


Married 1 Jan 1804 or 1805 Sarah Morgan, of Preston. [2]

Buried at: Catskill Village Cemetery, Catskill, Greene County, NY. [3]
