Sarah Prescott. 1686-1718. Daughter of Jonas. Born at Groton May 3, 1686. Married in 1705 John Longley. Died at Groton March, 8, 1718.
"A Prescott girl" (one of the four daughters of Jonas Prescott, an early settler of Groton) "was the wife of John Longley, son of William.... They lived on the Stephen Kendall farm, now owned by Jackson M. Potter."(now gone it was on Higley Street) "Another sister, wife of Benjamin Farnsworth, lived on the east side of the same road upon which the Stephen Kendall place is situated, and nearly opposite the house formerly occupied by the late William Kilbourn" (Killbourne lived in the corner house at Peabody Street) "Here, also in the field, a short distance back from the road, can be seen the depression of the earth which followed the filling of the cellar."-Francis M.
