Crossville Chronicle September 22, 1938

Monday, September 19 at 1 p.m. Reverend Russell Presley, 88, passed away at the home of his son, Jasper Presley. Funeral services were held at the same place Tuesday at 2 p.m. with Rev B A Moore in charge. The deceased was a minister of the Primitive Baptist Church for more than 40 years. His wife preceded him in death this past April 6. He is survived by 5 sons, 4 daughters, 50 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
