David was born in 1756 in Cumberland, England.[1]
When David was about 33 he married Jane Patterson in 1789 in Long Canes, Greenwood, South Carolina, USA. The couple had one child: Samuel Patterson Pressly.[2]
In 1800 David (age about 44) was living in Abbeville, South Carolina.[1][2]
In 1810 David (age about 54) was living in Buncombe, North Carolina, United States.[1]
