Biography

Nathan Preston was born, probably at Dennysville, Maine, c1780 (from age at death), the son of Nathan Preston and Elizabeth Rumery; ^{[1] [2]} d at Plantation No. 10 (Edmunds), Maine, before 29 May 1824, when his death was reported in that issue of the Eastport Sentinel; ^[3] m at Eastport, Maine, 15 Jul 1804, Rebecca Garnett, b at Hanover, Massachusetts, c1783, the daughter of Daniel Garnett and Hannah Sherman; ^[4] d after 25 Sep 1850, when she was enumerated in the household of her son, Jotham Sewall Preston in the 1850 U.S. Census of Edmunds. ^[5]
