DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Jehiel by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Jehiel:
I am working on Jehiel Preston, son of Jehiel and Thankful Sedgwick Hall Preston and his find a grave entry is really messed up. Shows Jehiel as being born in 1755 and died 1820 and married to Molly Royce in 1779. It shows they had a daughter Hannah who shows as being born in 1755 (the same year as Jehiel). She married Abiel Lamb (1749-1821) and had 3 children. Has anyone come across them? I have found that Hannah was born in 1780 and not 1755. Some trees on ancestry lists Hannah Preston as being the daughter of Phillip Preston and Mary Ann Ross. Has anyone come across Hannah and Abiel Lamb? Find A Grave is just all screwed up. Thanks!
