Napoleon Price was born about 1840 in Virginia.
His father to be determined, as he passed away, and mother Nancy remarried to George W. May, likely between 1840-1842.
In 1850 in Pittsylvania, mother Nancy (unknown) May. step father George W. May, Napoleon, brother Dorsey M. Price, were living together.
In 1860, in Pleasant Gap, southern Pittsylvania, it was still George and Nancy May with Dorsey and Napoleon Price. Napoleon was called N. B. Price here. George and Nancy May had 4 children of their own by now, Bettie 1851, Cornelia 1852, Rebecca 1854, and Eliza 1857.
Napoleon would enlist in the CSA, and was with the 38th Virginia Infantry, Company D as a 1st Lieutenant. He was critically wounded in the charge of Malvern Hill near Richmond on July 1, 1862, and died in the Richmond hospital two days later.
Again, 1860 record referred to Napoleon as N.B., like Napoleon Bonaparte Price. The military records referred to him as Napoleon D. Price.
