Hi LG,

Thanks for taking responsibility for Orphaned Profiles. This is a courtesy email to share the After Adopting Orphans FAQ which explains the special attention adopted profiles will sometimes need from their profile managers. One quick way to find the profiles you adopted is by searching your Contributions List for the word "adopted" and "manager." You can find a quick link to your Contributions List in the My WikiTree dropdown menu.

If you will be working with any profiles needing GEDCOM cleanup, the AGC tool can help with formatting so that you can concentrate on the research. You can read more about it in the WikiTree AGC FAQ.

Let me know if you have any questions,

Debi

Hi LG,

Thank you for renewing your volunteer status to help us with the US Black Heritage Project. I have sent you a private message with details on how to get started. Let me know if you have any questions, I am here to help!

Regards, Denise

Hello!

I’m conducting the 6-month check in for the US Black Heritage Project. Because we are growing so fast, it’s not always possible for me to see what everyone’s working on.

I’d love to hear what you’ve been working on and if you are still happy being a part of the team. If you need something to work on, we now have a master task list here: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:US_Black_Heritage_Project_Tasklist

We now have a project badge! Hooray! As soon as I hear back from you that you’d like to continue with the project, I will add the badge to your profile.

I look forward to hearing from you,

Emma

Hello Ms. Price,

I noticed that you are interested in DNA confirmation. There is an overall approach to DNA you can start with here: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:DNA

The DNA confirmation specific guidance is here: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:DNA_Confirmation

As always, feel free to ask questions on G2G and tag them with "DNA" or "DNA Confirmation."

Good luck and have fun!

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Pre-1700 ancestors can be shared by many descendants, so collaboration is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

The United States Project may fit your research focus. If not, use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find other possibilities. Review the project page to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.

If you have any questions, click reply below this message and I will get back to you.

You might also consider uploading your mtDNA results to mitoYDNA.org. Then add your mitoYDNA ID to your test information. People will be able to run a match with you on mitoYDNA straight from WikiTree. More on that here
