From census data, we learn that Martha was born in Crondall Hampshire around 1810. We have not identified her parents.

On 21 May 1836 in Crondall, Martha married John Slingo, and they would go on to have 11 children together.

Martha passed away in Crondall in 1858, at about age 48. Husband John remarried and survived until 1899.
