DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Edwin by comparing test results with other carriers of his ancestors' Y-chromosome or mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Edwin:

Hi Edwin, I see that you are the profile manager for Celestia Mavity Pierson Mavity-32. I am trying to find a confirmed photograpy of her. She was my great grandfather Allen Pierson's first wife. I have just run across an unlabeled photo in the Mavity section of our archive of a woman who should be about her age at that date and in a conservatory very similar to our family home in Spencer. I'm working to confirm the identity of this as yet unknown individual. Any assistance you or anyone else may be able to provide would be greatly appreciated. amities, Roger

I am a confirmed DNA descendant of Love Wilson Ross 1789-1876 I have DNA evidence she is NOT a Hopkins I have been working across the internet to share this evidence. Will you PLEASE work with me to change instances of her being listed as a Hopkins and incorrect parents named as members of the Hopkins family? My thesis on this can be found on my Ancestry account for Love Wilson Ross and is available by request, All I need is your e-mail address. Thank you very much for your help in this matter. Sincerely Matty Ross [email address removed]

Thanks for the good catch on my grandfather's profile Francis Marion Smith Miller. I changed the category to reflect San Antonio, Texas.

Edwin, Thanks for catching the two Collin Campbells in the 1790 Iredell County Census Space. Glad to see someone is using the 1790 Census Space. I used the same link because I didn't have enough sourcing at the time to create a profile for Collin Campbell, Jr.

As I can, I put a link in the FamilySearch Sources that says, see also Space:Iredell_County, North Carolina, 1790_Census. I think it is important to have the original source citation and also the link to the space.

Again, thanks for the input.

Curious if you're related to / descended from Michael Bubp. You made some nice profile improvements there. Thanks. I'm connected very distantly to his Weiler wife.

Hi, Edwin. I approved both the merge for Shadrach Montgomery and Isabella McCullough, his wife.

Neither would have been "created" if the "other" profiles had the correct spellings when I added mine. Also, I noticed that the other profiles were from a gedcom only, and didn't have the sources that I do. I try to add legitimate sources when adding profiles. I asked the other member to approve the merges, and share profile manager with me. Thank you. Sheri

Sorry I misled you. There is more than one profile for Griffing that should be merged. The male profile is her husband.
