Birth / Baptism:
Marguerite Primot was born on 1 March 1740 at Châteauguay, Canada, Nouvelle-France. Daughter of Paul Primeau and Marie Josephe Couillard, she was baptised the same day at the Sault-Saint-Louis mission church but the baptism was recorded in the books of Saint-Joachim de Châteauguay. Joseph Duquet and Marie Caron.[1] [2]

Confirmation:
Marguerite was confirmed on July 2, 1742 in the church of Sault-Saint-Louis (now Kahnawake), when she was only 2 years old. She is listed as Marguerite, fille de Paul Primot[3]

Marriage:
Charles Langevin (Bergevin), age 29, married on 15 April 1765 Saint-Joachim, Châteauguay, Province de Québec, Marguerite Primo age 25, daughter of Paul Primo and Marie Josephe Couillard. Present: Paul Primeau, militia captain and father of the bride; Antoine Lupien father, "TOOK PLACE AT THE GROOM FATHER"; Joseph and Pierre Lupien son. Jesuit Father B. Well officiated. [4] [5] [6]

Death / Burial:
Marguerite died September 20, 1804 in Châteauguay. She was buried at the Saint-Joachim cemetery the following day. She is recorded as "Marguerite Primo, wife of Charles Bergevin, died yesterday, age 68 years". [7]
