He married Cécile Capistran dite Cadot 21 Janvier 1839, Saint-Joachim-de-Châteaguay: le mariage "entre Germain Primeau journalier fils majeur de défunt Jean Primeau et de Marie Louise Billet de cette paroisse d'une part, et Cécile Capistran dite Cadot fille mineure de défunt Etienne Capistran dit Cadot et de défunte Catherine Gagnier, aussi domiciliée en cette paroisse d'autre part; . . . . et vu le consentement des parens et de Sre Jacques Gibrans cultivateur résident à la paroisse, et Sre Isidore, tuteur de l'épouse . . . en présence de Paul Langevin, François Guidard, Pierre Boursier, Joachim Greffe et autres"[2]
