Edwin was born on the 15th September 1884 based on the 1939 National Register, in Wigan, Lancashire the son of Frederick Lee Prince (1854 - 1934) and Louisa (Hesketh) Prince (1855 - 1921).[1]
1891 Census on the 5th April 1891 Edwin was living at 2 Gardner Street, Preston, Lancashire with his parents Frederick and Louisa and his siblings Alice, Elizabeth, Louisa, Benjamin and William.[2]
1901 Census on the 31st March 1901 Edwin a draper's assistant, was living at 2 Gardner Street, Preston, Lancashire with his parents Frederick and Louisa, and his siblings Alice, Elizabeth, Louisa, William, Ralph, Frederick, John and Albert. Alice's husband Walter Lynch was also living there.[3]
1911 Census on the 2nd April 1911 Edwin a core maker in an iron foundry, was living at 2 Gardner Street, Preston, Lancashire with his parents Frederick and Louisa, and his siblings Louisa, William, Ralph, John and Albert.[4]
Edwin married Alice Wilson and the marriage was registered in the Apr-May-Jun quarter of 1914 in the Preston district, Lancashire.[5]
In the 1921 census Edwin (age 36), Core Maker, was the married head of household at 30 Lady Street, Preston, Lancashire, England.[6]
