Henry Pringle lived in Virginia.

Henry was born in the Colony of Virginia in 1770 to parents James Pringle and Elizabeth (Whiteside) Pringle. He married Mary Trumbo, daughter of George Trumbo, in 1796 in Virginia (where they resided until about 1812). They relocated to the Wayne Township in Muskingum County, Ohio. He was an Elder (founder/leader) of the Salt Fork Primitive Baptist Church.

He passed away in Nov 1823 in Wayne, Muskingum, Ohio and is buried at the Pringle Cemetery in Muskingum County, Ohio. His will was probated in Muskingum County, Ohio on 26 Nov 1825.

“Biographical and Historical Memoirs of Muskingum County, Ohio" The Goodspeed Publishing Co., 1892 from the State Library of Ohio, page 546: …..”Henry Pringle born 13 June 1770 and died of consumptionon the 1st of November 1823, aged fifty-three years. He was a strict member of the Baptist church. He married Mary Trumbo, who was born June 4, 1770 and died January 10, 1856, when eight-six years of age. To Henry and wife were born ten children: Peggy, Elizabeth, Mary, William, Melenda, Penina, Jededah and Adaia (twins) George W, and John. Her grandfather came with a French colony and settled in Hudson Bay when George Trumbo, her father, was quite small. From there he moved to Richmond, VA and there George grew to manhood, married a German girl, Miss.Margaret Oatts [Utz] and became the father of thirteen children- tens sons and three daughters, Mary, wife of Henry pringle, being the eldest of this family.”…..

“Biographical and Historical Memoirs of Muskingum County, Ohio" The Goodspeed Publishing Co., 1892 from the State Library of Ohio, page 545: ….."Dr. Pringle (George Washington Pringle, son of Henry Pringle) was also a native of Muskingum county and was a prominent physician in the same until his death. His Grandfather Pringle was born in London, England but when a young man went to Ireland and was married there to Miss Elizabeth Whiteside. After the first child was born they crossed the ocean to America, and here the remainder of their children were born: John, William, Henry, Nancy, Sally and Betsy.

Dr. George Washington Pringle was the son of Elder Henry Pringle (founder/leader of the Salt Fork Primitive Baptist Church) and Mary Trumbo. Henry died fairly young (1823) of consumption, leaving many minor children who were parcelled out to trustees (see records of the Muskingum Co. Orphans' Court). Acc. to Lorle Porter (A People Set Apart) Henry Pringle was the son of English parents who went to Ireland. His wife Mary Trumbo's family, originally from Alsace-Lorraine, came to the Hudson Bay area and from thence into Pennsylvania and VA”…..excerpted

Each purchase indicated his residence was Muskingum County, Ohio
