Note: Sadie Pringle died at the home of her sister, Clara Morton. Fifth Concession, Island Grove,Ontario. According to Jean Morton (Clara's daughter) Dr Tucktey came to give her a shot for the flu. "Mom thought the shot was a bit strong...It killed her."
Newmarket Era (Newmarket, ON1861 ), 27 Mar 1908, p. 6 SUTTON --- the at-home given by the young ladies of the YLTC on March 17 was one of the most pleasant events of the season. Gas Guess see my first president miss Laidlaw VP Smith Pringle, other members of the club being very attentive and careful to see that every guest was having a pleasant time. The hall was beautifully decorated with tissue decorations Irish flags send flowers. The first part of the evening was spent very pleasantly by the gas taking a trip through the Art Gallery which was arranged by the ladies. When the journey had been completed I'll program was given consisting of Irish Choruses by the club. Miss Pringle saying very brightly the Killarney dances and miss Bastedo rendered so sweetly the dear little Shamrock of Ireland. The dramatic scene what's very much enjoyed. At the close of the evening a delicious lunch was served. The tables were done in green and white and every attention possible was given the guests. Among those who were present were Rev. WH Laidlaw, Mrs. Laidlaw, Mr. A Crosier, barrister, Dr. Pringle, (her father) and Mrs. Pringle (her mother)
