Biography of Giovanna PRIVITERA TARAVELLA of 1722

Giovanna Privitera was born about 1722 in or near Valledolmo, Sicilia, the likely granddaughter or great granddaughter of Alessi Privitera, born 1647, who was one of the first settlers of Valledolmo and is found living in Valledolmo by 1682 working as a possidente (landowner) with three people in his family. The third person would likely be Alessi's son and the father or grandfather of Giovanna, but we have no proof

Giovanna Privitera married Francesco Taravella before 1758, and had at least one child:

• Francesca Taravella, born about 1758 who passed away on November 9, 1824 at age 66 as recorded in the 1824 "Atti di Morti" Death Records, Record Number 145 for Valledolmo, Sicilia.
