Biography
George Anderson Proctor was born on May 13, 1838, in Corinth, Georgia, the son of Permelia and John. He was married three times, first to Mary Dixon (1841–1861) on April 13, 1860 in Camden, Ouachita County, Arkansas; second to Alabama Virginia "Bama" Moore (1846–1881) on October 29, 1868 in Camden, Arkansas, at the A.M.E. Church, their children were:
- Octavia Moore "Auntie" (1869–1954)
- Lillian Augusta "Datto" (1872–1953)[1]
- George Anderson, Jr. (1874–1898)
- John Marvin, M.D. (1878–1943)
After Bama's death he married last to the widow of Charles E. Moore, Mrs. Mary Wilkerson (Hamilton) Moore (1851–1934) on April 13, 1882 in Camden, Ouachita, Arkansas. He died in 1915 in Alsdorf, Texas, having lived a long life of 77 years, and was buried in Austin, Texas.[2]
