11 Jan 1806 indenture driven by Chancery to finalize sale of David Proffitt’s estate

Driven by the Chancery Cause the estate property went up for resale on 4 Jan 1806 to go to the highest bidder. Rowland Profitt paid £160 for the 180 acres located on the south branch of Rucker’s Run and Berry Mountain. The indenture on 11 Nov 1806 for the deed of the sale lists the heirs (children and grandchildren).
