Biography
Mary was the daughter of Baron Albert Peter Anthony Profumo and Martha Thom Walker. She went by the nickname of Maina. She was the sister of disgraced politician John Profumo.
She married Harold Harington Balfour, 1st Baron Balfour of Inchrye, son of Colonel Nigel Harington Balfour and Grace Annette Marie Madocks, becoming his second wife, on 2 January 1947. They had a child:
- Hon. Mary Ann Balfour b. 22 Jul 1949 m. Hon. Martin Dearman Sutherland Janson
She lived in London.
She was widowed in 1988 and passed away in 1999.
