Afghan National Archives: Established in 1890, the National Archives of Afghanistan are located in the city of Kabul. They do not appear to have an active website.
Afghan National Library: The National Library of Afghanistan, located a Kabul University, once housed 200,000 books, 5,000 manuscripts, and 3,000 rare books, periodicals, photographs and calligraphic specimens. Following the Afghan Civil War (1989-1992), most materials were sold in book markets, burnt, destroyed, or lost.
