Project: Events Committee
Purpose
Our purpose is to organize and encourage community events, such as WikiTree Day and the Source-a-Thon marathon. These events serve two purposes:
- to help accomplish our mission of growing our accurate, single family tree, and
- to strengthen community ties both within WikiTree and with the broader genealogy community.
How to Join
- Project Leaders: Eowyn Walker, Betsy Ko, Azure Robinson
- Answer our G2G welcome post to join the Events Committee project and get a badge.
- Add events to your followed tags.
- We use Discord for communication.

Note: We use Discord for committee communication, therefore, to participate on the committee, members do need to join the WikiTree Discord server.
We also have Zoom meetings the first Tuesday of every month at 7:30 PM (EST)/12:30 AM (UTC). Committee members aren't required to attend every week but we do ask that you attend as often as you are able.
