Robert Proudfoot settled on a farm in Hopewell, York County, Pa. His name is on the muster roll of Lieut. McKissick's company, organized in that county in the time of the Revolution.

He married Mary McKittrick, but had no children, To an adopted son, Andrew Bennet, he willed his "plantation." He died in 1802.

Robert was an early member of the Guinston Presbyterian Church in York County, Pennsylvania, but did not reaffirm his membership after the schism in the Pensylvania Presbyterian churches in 1793.^[2]

Last Will and Testament: On May 22, 1802, Robert Proudfoot, of Hopewell Township, York, Pennsylvania executed his Last Will and Testament. There was an undated Codicial. The Will was proven on June 8, 1802 in York County Court, Pennsylvania.^[3]
