Robert was born in 1812. He is the son of Robert Prouse and Elizabeth Davey. He was baptised in Clovelly 13 December 1812 [1]
Robert Prouse married Elizabeth Cobley Babbage in South Molton, Devon, in 1839 [2]
In 1851 Robert was a farmer of 15 acres living at Ley Hill, Alwington, Devon with his wife Elizabeth aged 27 and 6 children [3]
