Susan was born in 1830. She was the daughter of Jane Osborne and was adopted by Richard Prouse (abt.1791-1875) and Mary Snowden (King) Prouse (abt.1787-1870) and emigrated to New Zealand with them aged 9 on the "Duke of Roxburgh.

She married George Ebden in 1843 or 1849.[1] The children of George and Susan were:
She passed away in 1894[2][3][4] and is buried in Christ Church Cemetery, Taita.[5]
It is assumed that Susan Worsell is the same person as Susan Osborne Prouse mentioned in FindaGrave. The NZBDM date of the marriage may have been incorrectly transcribed and should be 1849 as she would have only been 13 at marriage as opposed to 18.
