DNA Tested
Rand Prouse's DNA has been tested for genealogical purposes. It may be possible to confirm family relationships by comparing test results with Rand or other carriers of his ancestors' Y-chromosome or mitochondrial DNA. Y-chromosome DNA test-takers in his direct paternal line on WikiTree:
  • Rand Prouse: Family Tree DNA Y-DNA Test 67 markers, haplogroup R-M269, Ysearch 7GKEN, FTDNA kit #B35870
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share DNA with Rand:

Hi Rand;

I am a possible descendant of "The Conqueror". I have had all the test that FTDNA offers including the BigY (27936). I did the Ancestry.com DNA test which is a duplicate of one of the FTDNA test. I sent my BigY RAW DATA to YFULL for analysis unfortunately I am totally dumb when it comes to DNA and all things associated. My email address is jaws7220@aol.com in case you would care to help in making a determination as to our possible relationship. Joe Williams

Hi Rand

Thank you for joining the Magna Carta Project. If you go to the project page: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Magna_Carta , you will see a link to the Base Camp page. This is where all project communication takes place. If you have any questions let me know or post them on the comment section of the base camp page.

Otherwise, look at the page, pick a trail & start sourcing.

Happy Hunting!

Regarding John Doane or Done, you are referring to Doane-11, whose birth and death dates match those of whom you write. If you read both biographies it does distinguish them from each other.

Hi Randy, There are some merges that need to happen with the surname Twinning (double N), that should be Twining (one N). I'll be proposing some of those. ~Sandi

Hi Randy

Thank you for joining the One Name Studies Project.

The project page has start up info & while there you can check out other studies for ideas.

You can use Word if you would like. Also, if you have a desk top genealogy program (Legacy, Family Tree Maker, Etc.) you can use them, as well.

This is your study & you can format as you wish.

Regards,

Doug

Hi Randall,

I hope you are enjoying WikiTree. If you go to the top and pull down the menu under Find you will see Pending Merges. You can also find that here

You need to go to that page and click on "Unmerged Matches initiated by me" and see if you can clear up some of the unmerged matches that you created when you uploaded your GEDCOM.

Try to resolve any doubt about whether they are matches. If they are not, reject them and if they are propose a merge.

Let me know if you need help.

Hi!

Just checking in with a few quick tips:

Free Space pages are wiki pages for supplementing your family history. They can be used to profile anything of significance such as a special pet, a meaningful event, a school you attended, a family heirloom .... They're "anything pages".

Not sure what to include in a profile? Check out our Biography Ideas and Styles and Standards help pages.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, please ask!
