William Provin was born on 14 Feb 1842 in Sullivan, Pennsylvania, United States, son of William Provin (~1816–1884) and Abigail Sophia Weller (~1816–1881).

William (24) married Louise Josephine Axtell (20) (born on 16 Feb 1846 in Chesterfield, Hampshire, Massachusetts, USA; daughter of Dorus Sheldon Axtell and Cordelia (Witherall) Axtell) on 21 Nov 1866 in Springfield, Hamden County, Massachusetts, United States.[1] Their children were:

In 1880, William Provin, Jr (38), was a married head of household, Whip Maker, in Westfield, Hampden, Massachusetts, United States. [3]

In 1900, William (58), married head of household in Springfield, Hampden, Massachusetts, United States. [4]

In 1910, William (68), married head of household in Westfield, Hampden, Massachusetts, United States. [5]

William died on 5 Dec 1912 in Westfield, Hamden County, Massachusetts, United States, aged 70. He was buried in Pine Hill Cemetery, Westfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts.[6] [7]
