Biography

Jesse was born on 29 September 1802 in Masontown, Fayette, Pennsylvania, United States. He was the son of Joseph Yards (Province) Provance and Elizabeth (Casto) Province.[1]

When Jesse was 19 he married Celia Spencer on 5 September 1822 in Fayette City, Fayette, Pennsylvania, United States. The couple had one child: Amelia Province.[2]

In the 1830 census Jesse (age 27) was living in German, Fayette, Pennsylvania, United States.[3]

In the 1840 census Jesse (age 37) was living in Fayette, Pennsylvania, United States.[4]

In the 1850 census Jesse (age 47) was living in Ludlow, Washington, Ohio.[5]

In the 1860 census Jesse (age 57) was living in Washington, Monroe, Ohio, United States.[6]

In 1862 Jesse (age about 59) was living in Pennsylvania.[7]

In 1863 Jesse (age about 60) was living in Pennsylvania.[8]

In 1864 Jesse (age about 61) was living in Pennsylvania.[9]

In 1864 Jesse (age about 61) was living in Pennsylvania.[10]

In 1865 Jesse (age about 62) was living in Pennsylvania.[11][12]

In the 1870 census Jesse (age 67) was living in Louisville, Pottawatomie, Kansas, United States.[13][14]

On 3 April 1873 Jesse (age 70) was living in United States.[15]

Jesse died at the age of 70 on 3 April 1873 in Bellvue, Pottawatomie, Kansas, United States. Cause of death was From Wife's Obituary.[16][15][17]
