Elizabeth Prowse was born on June 8, 1864. She was the daughter of Joseph Prowse and Agnes Jarvis. In 1881, Elizabeth was living with her parents and siblings on the family farm on Brackley Pt. Road (Lot 33).
On May 21, 1882, Elizabeth was baptized as an adult in the United Church.  Two of her siblings, Silas and Henry, were baptized on the same day.
At the end of 1889, Elizabeth's older brother Isaac's wife died. Elizabeth moved to Murray Harbour to take care of his two young children..
About 1894, Elizabeth moved to the United States. In 1900, she and her younger sister, Agnes, were working as servants in the same household in Boston.
By 1911, Elizabeth and Agnes were back in Charlottetown, running a small boarding house, with 1 lodger, in a house that they rented. Agnes's daughter, Bessie, lived with them as well. By 1921, they owned a boarding house, with 5 boarders.
Elizabeth never married. She died on December 21, 1932 in Charlottetown, at the age of 69.
