Eda Marflett Prowse was born on June 4, 1892 in Murray Harbour, Prince Edward Island. She was baptized on July 8, 1892.[1] She was the daughter of Isaac Prowse and Louisa Beck. She was raised in the family home in Murray Harbour[2] and became a school teacher.[3]
On April 17, 1918, Eda was baptized in the Catholic Church.[4] The following day she married James G. Hession.[5] They had two children.
Eda lost her husband on February 21, 1932 when he died in a train crash.[6]
