Hi Annette, I see your name on [Trenniman-1|Mary Trenniman's] profile as a person to compare DNA with. Your profile is locked up and I can't see your tree to see where and how you fit into the family line.

Would love to compare info and DNA.

Hi Annette,

This is your last stop on the guided tour. Hopefully, you're feeling like a WikiTree pro! If not, you can always revisit the tour stops via the comment boxes on the right side of your profile.

This tour has covered a lot of ground so far. Our last stop gives you a few more tools that can take you even deeper into the WikiTree forest without getting lost: How to Dig a Little Deeper.

Have questions? We want to help! Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.

PS. Looks like you had to do some merging. Would you edit your profile to remove the duplicate headings that start with =. You can take out the line that says {{Unsourced} } too. Thanks!

Hello

You may have been hard at work getting connected to family members who are already here and adding those who were missing. You probably have at least a few profiles that you manage now.

There's a fast and easy way to access those profiles using the Watchlist. So, this week we're going to look at How to Manage Your Watchlist.

Questions?, Just ask in the comment section of my page. We want to help!

Hi Annette,

You've been a WikiTreer for several weeks now! We hope your profiles are starting to come together and that you've enjoyed getting to know all of us a little better.

You are probably getting a good feel for the collaborative nature of WikiTree by now. Since collaboration isn't always easy, we've put together a few pointers that can make working in this type of environment a little easier: How to be a Successful WikiTreer.

I'm always happy to answer questions!

Carole

P.S. Feel free to delete the text from your own profile that says it is unsourced. It will likely be found between double brackets or braces.

Hello again!

It's time for your next stop on the guided tour!

This week, we'd like to show you How to Join in the Community. There's no shortage of opportunities to get involved through social media, our forum, and projects.

I noticed that you're following several surname tags. Check out our One Name Studies Project to see if any have a project you can join.

Please let us know if you have questions! Just click my name above the comment, then ask in the comment section of my page. We want to help!

PS. Looks like you had to do some merging. Would you edit your profile to remove the duplicate headings that start with =, just leaving one of each. It helps keep the database error free. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Annette,

Thanks for joining us! I’m David, a WikiTree Mentor. Hope you're enjoying our site.

Did you have fun learning your way around WikiTree yesterday?

I just wanted to check in and see how things are going. Do you have any questions I can answer?

Hi Annette,

Thanks for volunteering! You are now a full member of the WikiTree community. Once you sign the Honor Code, you may start adding profiles.

Since WikiTree is different from other genealogy sites, we have a guided tour to help new members learn their way around. The first stop is How-To #1: How to Start Climbing Our Tree. The How-To's are intended to be visited about once a week, but feel free to work through them at your own pace.

To meet other WikiTreers, check out our G2G forum, including the question of the week: “Who are the military heroes in your branch of the tree?”

Enjoy!

Hello Anneette,

Welcome to WikiTree! The email we just sent has helpful links to get you started.

WikiTree is different than other genealogy websites because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we share ancestors and work together as a BIG collaborative team!

What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research you’d like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree?

When you confirm your email address, you’ll be given an opportunity to volunteer to help document our collective family history. Use the Tags and comments to tell us about your genealogical interests.

When you volunteer, one of our Greeters will confirm your membership. Then you'll be able to add your family to the tree!

We're really glad you're here!

Gilly – Greeter
