Peter Prudden, son of Thomas ((c. 1510-1558) and Christyne, lived in King' Walden, Hertfordshire, and later moved to Luton, co. Bedford. His birth is estimated at about 1535.[1]
He was an executor of his fathers 1558/9 will., and was married to his wife before the writing of the will, while still in Kings Walden, Hertfordshire, England.[1]
He names his wife Alice in his will.[1]
Five of his children were baptized at the church in King's Walden, but after that there are no records there. [1]
He leased the manor of Plenties, in the hamlet of Stopsley in the parish of Luton, co. Bedford, where his will was written[1]
Will of Peter Pruddon of appleYghte [sic], parish of Luton, co. Bedford, was dated 8 Nov 1599 and proved 19 Jan 1599/1600. Bequests were made to his daughter Jane Pruddon (not yet 16); his son John (not yet 18), son John Pruddon, son Edward Pruddon, son in law William Camfield (to the use of his son), daughter Jone Camfield, daughter Agnes Bocatt, Priscilla Bocatt daughter of Agnes, Alice his wife and son Robert Pruddon executors, William Camfield overseer.[1]
