Biography

Susanne / Suzette was born about 1775, based on her age at death[1], in Natchitoches Parish to Jean Baptiste Prudhomme and Marie Josephe Collantin.[2] Her FindAGrave memorial indicates she was born 17 June 1775[3], but it is unclear where that date came from as it is not engraved on the grave. Nor is a baptism record found for her in Natchitoches record books or other Louisiana parish sources.

She married Remy Lambre on September 26, 1789 at St. Francois des Natchitoches in Natichitoches, Louisiana.[2][4]

Susanne died suddenly at the estimated age of 40 years, leaving 2 sons and 8 daughters and was buried in the parish cemetery on 10 April 1815.[1] The date of death is engraved on the stone of her grave as being the same date she was buried.[3]

Suzanne was born in 1775. She passed away in 1815.
