Eli Prudhomme was born in Mallett, Louisiana in the spring of 1896[1]
to Albert Prudhomme and Olivia Lafleur.[2]
In 1900 he was five when he was counted on the census with them in Mallett, Louisiana.[3]
They were counted again in Mallett in 1910 when he was 14 and had six siblings at home.[4]
He was 21 and married when he registered for the draft during WWI in St. Landry Parish in 5 June 1917.[1]
His wife was Hazel Reed.
By 1920 they had one daughter when they were counted on the census in St. Landry Parish.[5]
In 1930 their daughter had seven younger brothers and they were living in Calcasieu Parish when they were counted on the census.[6]
When the census was taken in St. Landry in 1940 their youngest child, Paul, had not yet been born.[7]
He died in the fall of 1974[8]
and was buried at Bellevue Memorial Park, in Opelousas, Louisiana.[9]
