Funeral services for Bonnie Prudhoumme Amy, age 79, were held at 2pm in Lafone-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel on the Old Sundset Rd in Opelousas, La with burial in Myrtle Grove Cemetery also in Opelousas. The Rev. Jesse Lott conducted the services.
She died at 2 a.m. Sunday in Lafayette General Hospital. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Opelousas, The Easter Star and Gideons International.
Bonnie was a resident of Opleousas, at the time of her death. She was born in the New Orleans, La area, Lake Bourgne, La. on a house boat, from which she got her name.
