Research Notes

• More research is needed to properly identify parents. There was a group of Pucketts in Surry Co, NC, who were Quakers. Many of them moved to Indiana. Some reportedly went through Ohio. Many Pucketts in Surry Co, NC, are believed to be, in part, descendants of Thomas Puckett (abt.1750-abt.1805). Thomas' brother Isham Puckett Jr. (abt.1743-) was also in the general area. Conversely, Thomas Hobby Puckett (1745-bef.1802) was not in this area. He died in Lunenburg Co, VA. His descendants reportedly dispersed into different areas, not where this James was found.
