Biography

Thomas Puckett was a Virginia colonist.

Thomas was born about 1658 in Henrico County, Virginia. He is the son of John Puckett and Anne Jefferys. He passed away before 3 October 1715 in Henrico County, Virginia (date will probated).^[1]

Thomas Puckett married Mary Womack about 1678 in Henrico County, Virginia. They had children:

1. Thomas Puckett, died young
2. Frances Puckett, , John Clyborne
3. William Puckett, d bef 1720, m Mabel Walthall
4. John Puckett, m Susanna Pride^[1]

Death & Legacy

Thomas gifted his property to son William Puckett with the proviso that William would maintain him for his natural life. His will dated 4 March 1712 and proved 3 October 1715 in Henrico County, Virginia, confirmed this gift.

I, Thomas Puckett, being in age past my labor and being indebted and being not of ability to pay these debts, I make over to my son, William, all my lands and moveables to maintain me during my natural life and pay those debts."^[2]

Indenture - On 4 Mar 1716, in Henrico Co, VA, an indenture "between William Puckett ye younger son of Thos Puckett deceased of ye County of Henrico on the one part and William Puckett the son of William Puckett of the County aforesaid of the other part..."^[3]
