1764 will (dated 26 April 1764) of John Puckett of Chesterfield County; no mention of wife; sons Daniel, Shippe Allen, Stephen, Druery; cousin Sarah Westbrook (unmarried). Witnesses: Peter Ashbrooke, John Walthall, Mary Westbrook^[1]

Research Notes

Estimated Birth: "about 1696" birth year was changed to "about 1705" because his parents' profiles have them born in 1684 (if they were 21 when he was born, that puts his birth at about 1705 - if born in 1696, his parents were 12). Another profile had him born in 1673, in Henrico,^[2] and another "about 1692".

Gee's The roots... of the Puckett family has the John who is son of John with the 1716 will married to Judith (no maiden name). The entry lists children's names from the Bristol Parish Register that match names in the 1764 will, but says his will was "not dated, but around 1760 (Hen. Co. Rec. Book 1, p. 431).^[3] Considering the 1764 will was for John of Chesterfield County,^[1] there may be a mis-attribution of children by Gee (possibly of Judith wife also).

John was born about 1692. He passed away in 1764.
