Ethel Gertrude Pullen was born on 1 September 1888. Her father was James Pullen and her mother was Matilda Dyer.^[1]

In 1891 Ethel was recorded as a 3 year old in her 46 year old, married, gardener father's household at Wells Lane, Falmouth, Cornwall, England. Her mother Matilda 37 and her siblings Ellen 12, Lillian 9, Florence 5 and Charles 0 were also recorded in the household^[2]

Ethel Gertrude married Arthur Thomas Webb (1892 - 1961).^[3]
