He married Mary Ann (Fisher) in St Pauls Cathedral, Melbourne, Victoria on January 28, 1854.[4]
In 1856 he was living in Moliagul, Loddon, Victoria, Australia
He had a relationship with May Lucy (Pay) Cadusch and they went on to have 4 children after 1870 althought there is no record of their marriage. Their eldest child together, Charles (Punch) Pay, uses the name PAY.
According to the plaque on the front of his house in Bendigo, Charles was a bricklayer, Flemish bond, and he built the house at 359 High Street, Golden Square (formerly 531 High Street). He also built a weatherboard house adjacent. The weatherboard house he sold to his brother John Punch on November 16, 1871. The assignee, John Tasker, sold the house to John's son-in-law Thomas Henry Lethlean (who had married his daughter) on June 24, 1885. The house was demolished in 1985.
He died aged 51 in 1884[5]
Death notice (Bendigo Advertiser (Vic. : 1855 - 1918) Thu 4 Sep 1884) On the 29th August 1884, Charles Alexander Punch, of the Commercial Hotel, Kerang, and late of Golden-square, Sandhurst, aged 52 years.[6]
Charles is buried in the Kerang Cemetery, Victoria
